Ramadan Kareem 2016

Every year at this time as a tradition, I put up a post that is a comprehensive listing of what brands have on offer for Ramadan. This is the 3rd post of its kind on the blog and although it doesn’t include every brand, I did try to contact as many as possible and give you a single go to link so you can compare them all on the same page and make a choice.

The list this year is more elaborate  than 2015 with a lot of new names added to enhance your Iftar & Suhoor experience yet again! With more Ramadan tents and unique concepts, below is the listing for Ramadan offerings compiled by Hungry Birds Doha.

The Butcher Shop and Grill – Doha

There are a few days when my only thought is steaks and great steaks – just the word ‘delightful’ is what my tummy aims to achieve in one yummy scrumptious package.
Guess what, I did exactly the same at The Butcher Shop and Grill when I visited them over the weekend.

As hungry as I was, I couldn’t be intrigued with the interiors. Giving it a back seat (left to explore later hence no photos – it was closing hours post dinner), we proceeded straight towards ordering. Though, I have to mention the immediate warmth of the courteous staff and their readiness at guiding us to our table was commendable. The baby high chair or let’s just call it the baby high throne (I’m in love with it) was the most appealing and exciting part of the décor.

Their huge live-life king size seating was no less than that of the uber French designs. The bold green and soft white combination played well between modern and classic eras.

Al Khaima Restaurant – Doha

What do you do when you’re in a rush for a movie and there is only that much time to grab a quick bite but you don’t want to compromise on food to go?

Well, thoughts at first was to go with fast food but my taste buds was salivating Arabic. Not familiar much with Al Sadd area, we drove the lane near the cinema. And to my good luck, we spotted Al Khaima restaurant.

Never heard, never tried, never seen – long story short; we had no time, so the decision had to be quick.
This place looked nice (wonder why we never came here), modern and clean interiors, welcoming atmosphere (no loud Arabic music).
