California Tortilla – Doha
Being a big fan of cheese, one has to be a dedicated foodie to Mexican cuisine. In the longest time, I don’t remember gorging onto this yummy delight.
California Tortilla came across as something I was compelled to try.
Right from the moment I entered this boutique, it got me into exploring the decor.
I would say this place is somewhere between a fast food joint and a dine-in restaurant. Though, on the price end, it was a bit heavy on the pocket.
The restaurant is spacious, has a very beautiful kid’s area.

Doha Rocks Cafe – Doha
The first place I had noticed prominently in Qatar on my short visit last year was this petite dim lit cafe boasting the name Doha Rocks on its signage. Since then, I knew I would explore this place for sure someday.
To someone, this place may look average (nothing great to visit). But that’s the beauty of this place, the simplicity is seen in every bit of the look and feel. There’s so much positivity and clarity of life when you look at little signals –
– a bell to convey you enjoyed the food
– a comments board to pen down your thoughts
– a mug wall
– transparent chairs
– personalized walls with beautiful food thoughts and their personal messages
And so much more that can be only felt being there.
