Al Kababji Restaurant – Doha

There is never enough Lebanese food especially if you have been a Middle Eastern baby. I cannot survive for long without my hummus and motabbel which I gorge into at regular periods. Kababji has been our destination in Kuwait ever since I can remember.
Although it took me a long time to figure out their boutique in Qatar, I am happy to at least get there anytime I want now onwards. It is quite a drive for us but that doesn’t take away my desire to visit them often. The location, however, is a small store on the main road (can be missed) boasting the name Al Kababji in English and Arabic. With minimalistic décor, the place is inviting with the aroma of freshly baked khubs and grilled meats. The interiors have been designed providing the customer a chic, warm, and elegant environment to dine within. This place is a wonderful example of traditional food meets modern approach (décor).

Al Huda Bakery – Doha

Being away from home for almost two months, what I missed the most was my Lebanese palate. I craved the hummus, mutabbal, Khubs and all that juicy sumptuous shawarma.
Having heard a lot about Al Huda Bakery from social networking sites, we decided to try it out and specially because they introduced duck shawarma for the first time in Qatar. I was disheartened to know they served it only Mondays and Wednesdays (we were there over the weekend). From the moment you enter, you are mesmerized by the aromas of their freshly baked Khubs, kanafa, shawarma et all. Lovely green and white decor was very welcoming as were their servers.

Al Khaima Restaurant – Doha

What do you do when you’re in a rush for a movie and there is only that much time to grab a quick bite but you don’t want to compromise on food to go?

Well, thoughts at first was to go with fast food but my taste buds was salivating Arabic. Not familiar much with Al Sadd area, we drove the lane near the cinema. And to my good luck, we spotted Al Khaima restaurant.

Never heard, never tried, never seen – long story short; we had no time, so the decision had to be quick.
This place looked nice (wonder why we never came here), modern and clean interiors, welcoming atmosphere (no loud Arabic music).
