Triple Apple – Doha

Triple Apple – the name itself lures you into receiving a triple treat from its promising façade and bold branding!
Very refreshing and open hearted colours with clean interiors is what you instantly see as you enter. I was somehow very enthusiastic at visiting them. So on a random weekday, to fulfil our sweet tooth, we passed by Triple Apple to pick up some pastries.
I wouldn’t say I had a warm greet but wasn’t cold too. Our server did guide us well through their offerings.
Our order:
Oreo cheese cup, blueberry cheese cup, raspberry pastry, red velvet pastry, vanilla and chocolate cake pops and dark chocolate cake candy. Oh, and a pack of dinner roll from their bakery.
Starting with the nice things first, everything on their display is so well presented that you are compelled at once to buy all you can in a day.

Dunia Restaurant Media Tasting Event – Doha

If offered a chance to write a blog, my taste buds would publish a thesis full of Arabic cuisine. My palate is salivating Lebanese/ Turkish/ Persian most of the week. One such weekday was my first invitation to a media tasting event at Dunia restaurant at Villagio Mall.

Dunia, an innovative restaurant concept with a trendy fusion of Iranian and Oriental cuisine, proudly introduces their brand new menu with the idea of ‘sharing is caring’. Hoggers like me indeed can share   given the portions are as generous as Dunia now offers. Chef Hassan Tlayji’s (Chef de Cuisine at Dunia) contemporary touch is a true pleasure for the eye and palate. Commencing with their hospitality, the happy faces of the servers as we entered ensured the satisfaction of being at the right place. Mind   you, in spite of an event, they still attended to their regular   customers with ease and equal gratitude. As a concept, the restaurant offers you an outdoor seating as well as indoors leaving up to you to decide whether you want to be part of the hustle bustle at the mall or retreat in the comforts of their warm and delightful ambience. Their décor illustrates uber and chic interiors with a bold traditional style canopy right above the service counter. The inside of the restaurant is segmented into two: sofa style seating and raised floor leading to regular seats and tables.

Al Kababji Restaurant – Doha

There is never enough Lebanese food especially if you have been a Middle Eastern baby. I cannot survive for long without my hummus and motabbel which I gorge into at regular periods. Kababji has been our destination in Kuwait ever since I can remember.
Although it took me a long time to figure out their boutique in Qatar, I am happy to at least get there anytime I want now onwards. It is quite a drive for us but that doesn’t take away my desire to visit them often. The location, however, is a small store on the main road (can be missed) boasting the name Al Kababji in English and Arabic. With minimalistic décor, the place is inviting with the aroma of freshly baked khubs and grilled meats. The interiors have been designed providing the customer a chic, warm, and elegant environment to dine within. This place is a wonderful example of traditional food meets modern approach (décor).
